Whitley Arrows v Blackburn

Whitley’s U12’s penultimate home game of the season was a great opportunity to take the team into the top 3 in the league.  The game started well for the home team with Joe Walls, Callum Taylor and Thomas Fraser all netting within the first 10 minutes.  This was just the start that the team needed and gave the chance for increased ice time for the less experienced players.  It was…

Whitley Arrow’s v Sutton Sting – Sunday 9th February.

Whitley U12’s home fixture against Sutton sting presented a great chance for the home team to push into the top 3 in the league.  Some early pressure from Whitley was a good indication of how the game could go.  An amazing piece of skills by Thomas Fraser created a chance for Callum Taylor, his powerful shot hitting the bar.  Successive attacks came to nothing until the 14th minute when a…

A disappointing home weekend for Whitley

It was a disappointing weekend for all at Whitley Bay Ice Hockey Club Junior Development after loosing all 5 of the games which were played. On Saturday, the Arrows played away to Coventry and lost 3 – 2. Following this, the short benched Mohawks played away to Telford and lost 9 – 2. Everyone thought the whole weekend could be reversed with two home games on Sunday, however this was not going to…
