Learn to Play Ice Hockey

Ice hockey is a great sport which develops character fitness and teamwork.

The route into playing junior hockey starts with a Rookie’s ‘Learn to Skate’ programme managed by Whitley Bay Ice Rink. This runs from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. each Friday and comprises of a 12 badge system, with each badge taking a minimum of 6 weeks to complete.

As soon as you have mastered basic skating skills, having attained Rookie badge 4 or higher, you will be eligible to take part in team training with Whitley Bay Ice Hockey Club Junior Development.
