Whitley Arrows v Sutton Sting – Saturday 21st December.

Whitley travelled to bottom of the table Sutton who started with a surprise goal in the second minute.  Whitley were struggling to adapt to the much smaller rink in Mansfield.  Thomas Fraser settled Whitley’s nerves with a superb finish, rounding the keeper to score with typical confidence. Whitley Arrows V Nottingham Sunday 15th December

December 17, 2013

This fixture was going to be a tough game for Whitley as Nottingham has such strength in depth and run a great hockey programme out of the national ice arena.  Both teams started brightly in the opening period and Whitley opened the scoring after 14 minutes from an opportunistic Fraser goal.   Nottingham then scored twice in quick succession with a couple of scrappy goals after good pressure on the home…

Arrows Vs. Nottingham

This was our first match of the season and with all the rumours suggesting we were to be soundly thrashed by the Kittens the tension was high in the Arrows camp. This season’s squad are a fairly inexperienced but the resolve to keep trying till the end shone through.
