Whitley Tomahawks travelled to Ice Sheffield for their 2nd of 3 consecutive away games looking for a good result to keep them on the tails of league leaders Bradford. In the corresponding home fixture, the Tomahawks came away with a narrow 2-1 win, so will be expecting another tough game today.

Kingston Crunch 2 Vs. Whitley Tomahawks 7

The Tomahawks travelled to Humberside still sitting second in the table with games in hand on leaders Bradford, for their fist meeting of the season with Kingston. Although not having the best of seasons, Kingston do have England forward Sam Towner back in their team after a couple of seasons at Sheffield.

The Tomahawks went into their first game of the new year 2 points behind joint league leaders Bradford and Coventry but with games in hand on both clubs, so a win against Sheffield was vitally important as they continued their push for the National Finals. The Tomahawks were back to full strength with the return of Jack Davies to the line up, having missed the last 4 games through suspension and then injury. Telford travelled with a short bench, but are a team that always provide tough opposition. Whitley won the corresponding fixture in Telford 5-4, but were more comfortable than that scoreline suggests.
