Monthly Update 12/2010

Finances
Things remain tight and it will take a while for subs increases and increased player numbers to have full affect. An open meeting to run through finances will be held early in the New Year. This will also give Mick Mishner an opportunity to address and update parents.

Fundraising
Parents are asked to support the Christmas raffle, to be drawn 29th rather than 19th December as initially planned.

A Club Race Night is to be held at the Blue Flames Club, Longbenton Thursday 27 January – further detail to follow.

A weekly Lottery Draw is also planned for 2011.

Coaching / Development
Most teams performing well.

Managers have been asked to submit regular Match Reports.

Mick’s focus is on developing core skills for younger age groups, to give a solid base for future development

Additional ice time ideally needed but not currently available.

Certain ‘training up’ issues are being addressed but worth reminding parents that priority must be given to own age groups. Playing / training up is a privilege, agreed between the Head Coach and respective lead Coaches, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Misc.
The Club’s preference is for white helmets and a uniform approach helps project a more professional image.

A Christmas party is planned for U10s & U12s Wednesday 22 December.

Rink is closed 25th &, 26th December and 1st January.

Next Committee Meeting is Monday 10th January.
