As we ready our selves for the new season, here is the latest news from within the club.
The Club is delighted to announce Gillian Johnson’s appointment as Vice Chair, with specific responsibility for coordinating fundraising initiatives
Jeremy Peardon and Andrew Bradshaw also join the management team as U16 and U18 Parent Representatives which simply leaves a vacancy for a Squaws’ Committee representative.
2011 Player Registrations
Numbers are up on last season with the Club now approaching 100 playing members.
The Learn to Play Programme has proved a particular success and U10s are starting the season with a full squad for the first time for many years. Hopefully this will result in a quick return to League A status.
2011 / 12 Fixtures
These are now available and will be circulated via Team Managers shortly.
Meantime players are reminded that white helmets and team socks are needed to participate in games
* Mick has secured additional ice time for training Saturday lunchtime. This is to be shared across teams, working around League fixtures, so please keep an eye on the Notice Board and website for further detail.
* EIHA have announced a clampdown on racial abuse. Thankfully this is not such an issue at Junior level but it’s worth mentioning that offenders will be heavily penalised with a minimum 10 game ban likely for proven cases.
* The Club is hoping to arrange a sponsored skate and parents / players are encouraged to support this and other fundraising proposals in order to contain monthly subs levels
* Finally any one who hasn’t updated monthly Standing Orders yet needs to do so immediately
