Arrows v Widnes Wild U11’s

Following a stressful start to the game with the late arrival of a home player and 2 away players with out the correct dispensation to play the Arrows pulled off a fantastic home ice win against Widnes Wild U11’s.

Just 36 seconds after the puck dropped Ben Wood, assisted by George Cowey opened the scoring. In quick succession Oliver Jardine and Finlay Ross, assisted by Harry Irwin and Jacob Barnes, brought the lead to 3 goals.

 Widnes Wild captain shortly followed this with their only goal of the game.

Ben Wood showed off his skills putting the puck in the net three times in less than minute bring the score to 6-1 with almost 6 minutes remaining in the first period.   Keeping the pressure on the visitors Jacob Barnes and Nathan Hartley brought the first period to a close with an 8-1 lead.

The second period saw a high stick call and 2-minute stint in the penalty box for Ben Wood and another goal from Nathan Hartley. 

An uneventful third period saw the Arrows maintain their 9 – 1 lead,
