Tomahawks v Sheffield U15’s

Newest signing Lewis Sinclair made his debut against Sheffield U15’s in a fast paced game that kept us on the edge of our seats.

Alternate Captain, James Toby opened the scoring in the first period assisted by Captain Owen Yarrow. Shortly after Sheffield’s Jacob Heald picked up a 2 minute penalty for holding, but Tomahawks were unable to take advantage of the power play.

Netminder, Daniel McGowan continues to prove himself as a solid signing with a number of great saves leaving Tomahawks first goal unanswered at the end of the second period.

Tensions highten going in to the third period, after Owen Yarrow, assisted by James Toby made easy work of Tomahawks second goal. Sheffield’s fightto get on the scoreboard lead to a few scuffles on the ice. Harvey Starkie found himself with 2 minutes in the penalty box for unsportsman like behaviour quickly followed by a too-many men call giving Sheffield U15’s a 5-on-3 advantage. Sheffield finally found the back of the net 4 seconds in the power play with a goal from harvey Mcecram, assisted by George Hallam. Leaving the Final Score 2-1 to Tomahawks.
